Bottle Filler Low Flow or Filter Light: Identify Before Replacing
A filter indicator and a weak stream may be related, but a light alone does not prove a clog. Record the exact fountain or bottle-filler model before ordering a cartridge.
What to do
Read the labels
Record unit model, serial number, installed filter number and indicator message. Some systems use model-specific cartridges and reset methods; visually similar filters may not fit.
Check the scope
Compare the drinking fountain and bottle filler on the same unit, then nearby fixtures. A building-wide loss of flow is not usually solved by changing one filter.
Review service history
Check installation date and usage records. If a supply interruption just occurred, follow the building water-restoration plan rather than immediately serving drinking water.
Service only within your training
Use the exact manual for water isolation, any power isolation, cartridge replacement and flushing. Do not reuse a dirty cartridge or touch clean contact surfaces with contaminated gloves.
Confirm return to service
Check for leaks and normal operation, complete required flushing, then reset the indicator only as directed after the actual service. Log the cartridge and date.

Leave a useful maintenance record
Record the exact location, observed condition, time, actions taken, person contacted and follow-up owner. Keep unresolved items visible. A completed checklist means the check was performed; it does not automatically mean the equipment passed or is safe.
