Loose Soap or Paper Dispenser: Check Mounting and Refill Fit
A dispenser that moves or repeatedly jams may have a mounting problem, the wrong refill or damaged internal guides. Separate these issues before ordering a new unit.
What to do
Inspect without forcing
Look for a loose cover, missing fasteners, cracked housing or wall movement. Use the correct key instead of prying a locked cover open.
Check the refill
Match the model and refill specification. A roll that is too wide or an incompatible soap cartridge can jam an otherwise sound dispenser.
Clean as directed
Remove accumulated paper dust or product residue using the maker-approved method. Do not flood a battery compartment or mix cleaning chemicals.
Repair the mounting correctly
For sound known backing, trained staff can follow the installation instructions. Stripped holes or soft wall material need a suitable mounting repair, not larger screws chosen at random.
Test normal use
Refill with the correct product, close the cover and test dispensing. Check that the unit is secure and reachable for its intended users before reopening.

Record the exact location, observed condition, time, actions taken, person contacted and follow-up owner. Keep unresolved items visible. A completed checklist means the check was performed; it does not automatically mean the equipment passed or is safe.
