I’m Jonathan Rice, founder of Resolute Facility Technologies LLC and an MTSU graduate based in Middle Tennessee. I’ve spent more than a decade working in facility operations. BuildingWrench grows out of that work: the service calls, the recurring problems, and the things a new technician needs someone to explain clearly.
BuildingWrench is built around a simple idea: facilities people need answers that are useful while they are standing in front of the problem.
Our guides focus on commercial buildings—schools, offices, churches, small campuses, retail spaces, and similar facilities. We explain routine repairs, safe first checks, what symptoms usually mean, what tools to bring, what mistakes to avoid, and exactly when a problem needs to move to a qualified trade.
Our repair philosophy
Find the boundary of the problem before replacing parts. Record what the building is actually doing. Change one thing at a time. Test the repair more than once. Leave useful documentation behind.
